As the Technology Education teacher at Hustisford School District I continue to keep a direct connection to the manufacturing industry. I am a member of the Dodge County Manufacturing Business Alliance, place Youth Apprentices in the manufacturing industry, and teach the soft skills and technical skills with the specific purpose to prepare students for their next stage of life. Students gain the technical experiences to enter the workforce with entry-level skills and many with advanced technical skills. It is my responsibility to prepare students with the skills, motivation, and desire to follow the many job opportunities in the manufacturing industry. I am operating a school based manufacturing company: Husty Heavy Manufacturing. With support and backing of the Hustisford School District we provide custom manufactured projects such as large scale topiaries and signage for the Milwaukee County Zoo along with portable racking for a foundry.

I am a parts sales manager that focuses on outstanding customer service and development of employees new to the automotive retail environment. I am particularly interested in the career growth and development of our younger employees. This job has been surprisingly helpful as a supplemental job. Every day that I work I learn more about do-it-yourself automotive repairs. I use this to aide older high school students at my school to prepare for jobs in the automotive industry. Through my work at AutoZone I have direct contact with employees and employers from the automotive industry.
