Oversee all aspects of communications for state’s affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Manage all aspects of digital marketing. Write, design, and send e-blasts using Vertical Response for Salesforce; develop, write, and post content to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; and create webpages and maintain website via Wordpress; all while ensuring a strong, consistent, and engaging institutional voice. Oversaw $30,000 redesign of website and move from Plone CMS to Wordpress. Worked with design firm to create new look and feel, and calendar event integration with Salesforce. Helped create general brand refresh based on website design elements. Manage editorial, design, and printing process for Spark, Humanities Washington’s twice-yearly print magazine mailed to 3,000 individuals and 150 cultural institutions throughout the state, and also distributed for free throughout the Seattle area. Edit, upload, generate ideas, and write for Humanities Washington’s blog, and manage contract writers. Oversee public relations efforts, including pitches to reporters, radio sponsorships, and track earned media. Manage print collateral design and printing, including brochures, flyers, and other material. Develop new strategies for promoting Humanities Washington’s events throughout the state, both in-house and in collaboration with our partner organizations around the state.
