  Started at Gillette in the Seating Dept building custom seats. Also designed and built custom devices for wheel chairs. Moved to Maintenance Dept in 2005 and currently hold a position in Facilities Maintenance. Preventative Maintenance is the main focus of the position but I also design and build solutions to problems throughout the hospital, with the intention of improving the working environment of our employees. Fairview Hospital -Orthopedic and Prosthetic Lab

• Orthotic Technician

  Fabricated orthotic devices, spinal orthothes,leg orthoses, foot orthoses, metal leather and plastic, Shoe modifications such as lifts, wedges, rocker bottoms etc. I did machine and facility maintenance. Set up TIG welder and taught employees how to use. I helped improve the vacuum system used for the production of the custom orthotic products.   I performed a wide variety of tasks while employed at Tamarack. Starting in Prosthetics as a technician, then in Seating as a technician. Pulled plastic for orthotics. Was taught how to create a pattern and sew corsets. Did machining of various metal and plastic parts for Tamarack products. I also maintained most of the tools and machinery while there.
