My roles while at AF Gaskin were: • Toolmaker Working within the workshop to produce mould tools. • Tool Designer Working within the design department to design and detail plastic injection moulds. Producing detail designs and drawings for manufacture within the workshop. • CAD / CAM Manager Responsible for introducing and running computer aided design and computer aided manufacture within the factory, involved with the installation of CAD Catia hardware and software into the design office and installing the latest CNC production controlled machines into the workshop linking production machinery directly to the Delcam CAM software. Had a hands on approach to all aspect of the CAM programming working the CNC machines on a daily basis. • Managing Director Responsible for the running of the company on a daily basis, touching on all aspects of the business from Sales, Accounts, Personnel, through to Health and Safety. Responsible for the successful introduction of ISO 9000 and all other systems required for maintaining the general working of the company. • Production Director Responsible for planning all work from design, through manufacture and on to completion. Had a direct relationship with the customer to ensure that all aspects of the contract were maintained and procurement completed.
