  The aim is to work with a network of local driven clubs and businesses to establish South Downs College as a focal point in the community for sport, health and fitness provision. The objectives of the SDC training village are:1. Raise the profile of the college within the local community to INSPIRE new students.2. Provide a realistic working environment for students to ACHIEVE applied vocational skills to enhance their employability.3. Foster local club links to help transition young people into clubs to increase sporting participation and opportunities to SUCCEED.

  Duties include, formal scheduled teaching, tutorials and student assessment for: A-level PE anatomy & physiology, BTEC level 1 & 2 in Sport, CYQ assistant fitness instructors, NVQ1 sport and recreation. Management of leaning programmes, staff & curriculum development, student admissions, educational guidance, counseling, preparation of learning materials and student assignments, invigilation and marking of students work, management and supervision of student visit programmes, research and other forms of scholarly activity, marketing activities, consultancy, leadership of staff, administration and personal professional development.
