  As part of the project I contributed to documents for the successful round 2 HLF bid, supported the project archivist and manned a stand to aid project fundraising and awareness at the 2016 Silverstone Classic.

• Hospitality Assistant for the BRDC at the British Grand Prix

  Working at the British Grand Prix for the BRDC led to me being in a variety of roles, such as manning the reception desk dealing with queries, as well as more general duties to ensure Members’ needs were catered for. All of this was undertaken in a high pressure environment.

• Archive Support

  Key tasks included, making the archive easier to use by cataloguing items as well as digitising documents. As part of this I have been uploading material to the Silverstone Heritage App. Duties also included following up information requests and swiftly finding an answers to their queries.

  To supplement my studies and to gain an experience of a different type of archive I began volunteering at the University archive as well as going to the BRDC. Duties included researching the collection to assist the archive team as well as indexing albums of newspaper clippings, and cataloguing using an open source system. This experience was very useful in understanding the different processes that can be used in archiving.   As a volunteer for Leicester Arts and Museums I have worked in a variety of roles and locations across the city. This has helped to build team relationships with many different people. As part of this I also worked with the council’s Story of Leicester Facebook page to help increase its reach through a promotional campaign.
