Was funded by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to undertake research in India with a local NGO - Men Against Violence and Abuse (MAVA). I produced an ethnographic research piece on Gendered Spatialities and Hegemonic Masculinity in Mumbai. This process involved studying at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), working closely with MAVA staff and assisting their activities, working alongside the MAVA volunteers to produce a street play, communicating with Mumbai locals and performing my own primary research through interviews.

Working in international student teams, I helped build sanitation systems in a local village outside Puerto Misahuallí. I also assisted to teach the children English, increasing their opportunities to gain access to employment. Also got to trek though the Amazon, witness shaman magic, white water raft, hike up a volcano and much more!
