David is one of those developers that every team needs but few are lucky enough to have. He not only grabs onto a task and goes at it with tenacity, he is patient and skilled enough to see the task through to the right end no matter what it takes. I had the pleasure of working with him once, and I would not object to having that pleasure again.

David is a solid engineer with excellent math skills. He worked on the Video Decoder for our Linux Software DVD player at MGI. I would recommend him and would enjoy working with him again.

Philips maintains a web portal to generate license files for one of its enterprise software products. I developed a plan of migration from old systems to new, upgraded libraries and encryption, integrated with existing Philips infrastructure, and developed new features. We also were able to acquire an ongoing support contract for the application. Technologies used: C# ASP/.NET, AWS deployment. In September 2015, the entire Ballston Lake software team was decommissioned, putting 6 software engineers and many others out of work, including myself. Before this, my responsibilities included: Maintained and enhanced firmware, application software, drivers, and end user applications used in the Red Lion suite of products, including industrial switches, remote terminal units, SCADA systems, and other automation equipment. Collaborated with developers in 3 other office locations around the country. Developed a system for automated nightly builds and tests (using Perl's Test Anything Protocol, or TAP) for all our built software. Designed and implemented a redundant LAN for use for in-flight entertainment devices using custom DHCP protocol extensions, Sixnet's proprietary Real-Time Ring (RTR) redundancy protocol, and port-based VLANs. Implemented a build system for the configuration software for all Sixnet devices using Cygwin versions of make, awk, and sed, and Visual Studio 6 command line utilities (later ported to Visual Studio 2010). Enhanced driver software for Marvell 6095 switch chip to include fine grained traffic limiting. Designed testing for 802.1X authentication support for switches. Show less
