Dispatcher responsible for organizing the safe docking and release of vessels transiting the Houston Ship Channel. I monitor traffic on the channel for location and speed so that i may notify boatmen when vessel is in the vicinity of Morgans Point. At this point the boatman standby to assist vessel in docking or departure. While monitoring vessel traffic i remain alert to changes in weather conditions, hazards on the channel or closures implemented by the US Coast Guard or Houston Pilots. If needed i coordinate supply runs so that vessels can replensih their supplies.
