      Research on the fabrication of magnetostrictive thin film Galfenol, for the design, production and study of surface acoustic waves devices using a magneto-electric coupling through an acoustic interface via a layering of magnetostrictive thin film on a piezoelectric substrate. In combination with the microfabrication of these devices, my research included multiphysics modelling of the magneto-acoustic-electric coupling using COMSOL, so that the variations on device design could be examined and studied before fabrication.
