      This new role for the Society was created to manage a project team given the task of analysing the impact of the European Mortgage Credit Directive (MCD) on the Society’s processes and procedures. Then to design and implement the necessary changes required to maintain compliance with all prescribed regulations. This project involved full scoping, team selection, assembly and organisation, GAP analysis production and progression, coordination and leadership of meetings of both the project team and steering group, presentations on the project’s progress for the Executive Committee and Board of Directors as well as dealing with a significant number of other smaller projects which included:- Evaluating the Society’s back-book of interest only loans- Conducting an analysis of the Society’s innovative approach to ‘Older Lives’ lending parts of which were published in a related BSA article- Orchestrating improvements in the processes used by the Underwriting team to report on policy discretions and lending agreed outside policy- Developing specific reporting using Product Sales Data information to determine the Society’s performance against lending bands prescribed by the PRAFollowing the completion of the MCD project and the successful implementation of all objectives on schedule the Society evaluated the role and my performance and additional projects were assigned which include:- A refresh of the Society’s network infrastructure and Telephony services- An Upgrade of the Society’s core Sopra systems- The coordination of the team authoring the Society’s IT Strategy- A complete review and refresh of the Society’s Cyber Security infrastructure- Development of the Society’s Business Continuity Plan- The testing and implementation of a new Online Service for mortgage and savings customersThe role continues to develop and expand as time goes on as does the skillset required to meet the ever increasing demands on my time and knowledge.
