It's very rare that you interview someone, and within the first 15 minutes you're saying to yourself, "Thank God, we've found them - they better not go anywhere else". But that's exactly what it was like meeting David for the first time, many years ago in Manchester Piccadilly train station. Charming, disarming, quick-witted and impossible not to like. A real commercial mindset paired with a relentless work ethic. We threw David straight in at the deep end, at a time when we desperately needed a key account manager, and he just started swimming. His genuine passion for the hospitality sector certainly didn't hurt either, and his results were exceptional. It was a real pleasure to work with David, and I can only hope our paths cross again in the future - as he would be an asset to any team.
