Currently working shift work on a four on four off rota. I expedite orders, offer assistance and support to other departments such as Supply, Despatch and the Production. I effectively process and maintain the error queue; I communicate over the telephone to the Opticians store staff in order to offer technical advice on out of range lens queries or cancellations etc. I use a various software systems such as Galaxy Admin and Labzilla etc. I can process and administrate staff orders, including the handling of cash and cheques. I am working towards an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Improving Operational Performance following the B.I.T. pathway; (completion date July 2017). I am part of an Internal Business Improvement Team; conducting 5s audits etc and highlighting any processes etc. for potential streamlining and improvements. Show less

Ensure final inspection of finished spectacles and equipment is checked and is within the agreed standards; if deviation is identified take appropriate action. Check for frame or lens defects. Report any issues with regards to glazing and surfacing to the Quality Manager return any rejected orders for wastage recording or for reprocessing. Clean spectacle orders prior to despatch. Work to set quality targets in order to maximise product quality, customer service, delivery, reliability and accuracy.Identifying manufacturing waste and processing this information via labzilla. I also checked the finalised lenses as they left the surfacing area within production. I can also process lenses for sending out to external suppliers for tints and coatings to be applied. Show less
