Christopher Atwater
Dave managed me directly during my last year at Intercom, and I can confidently say he was one of the most influential leaders for whom I've had the pleasure of working. He brought a fresh mindset to management that helped me excel as a rep. Although he was always willing to strategize on an opportunity or jump on a call to help progress a deal, he instilled confidence in his team to be successful on their own and invested a great deal in us as individuals in addition to pushing us towards team and company goals. We've all worked for a long list of managers over our careers, and it's rare that a leader comes to every conversation, whether a team meeting, 1:1, client call, etc. ready to add value and bring a unique point of view to help shift your perspective. I appreciated and respected the way he challenged me to be better while at the same time reinforcing positive feedback.
