  Ad Prima Charter School is a K-8 Blue Ribbons School servicing students in Philadelphia. During my first year at Ad Prima Charter School, Ad Prima showed the 19th highest growth and climbed to the rank of 31st out of 350 public schools in the City of Philadelphia. In addition, we received recognition for our afterschool science programs including robotics (our teams received 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place at the MESA Temple Competition) and the City-Wide Washington Carver Science Fair.   Vice Principal - 9th Grade August 2017 – August 2018• Directly manage a grade level of approximately 500 9th grade students. This included over 25 teachers, behavior specialist, counselor, teacher coach, and community liaison. I also coached 6 teachers on a weekly basis. The student population is roughly 45% English language learners and 28% % special education.• Student outcomes included the Highest Math and Reading Growth Across the ASPIRA Network doubling projected growth in both areas. In addition, student enrollment increased by over 80 students in the 9th grade and cut in the number of behavior staff. None the less, there was an improvement in student culture with an increase in student culture scores and a drop of over 90 days of suspension.Vice Principal - 11th Grade August 2016 – June 2017Directly manage a grade level of approximately 400 eleventh grade students and 20 teachers, counselor, behavior specialist, and community liaison. My responsibilities also included coaching 7 teachers including regularly scheduled weekly meetings and observations for feedback and support. Our student population was roughly 28% special education and 40% English language learners.• Student outcomes include the highest academic growth in math and reading in the school building (Averaging over 3 RIT points for both Math and English on NWEA MAP) and a reduction in suspension from previous years.   • Directed the special education department including: Coaching 8 special education teachers, support and supervision of two special education coordinators, supervision and evaluation of 6 counselors and 2 school nurses, overseeing and signing off on evaluations for all 40 special education department staff members, and professional development for the Special Education Department. • Directed and implementation of NWEA MAPs benchmark testing for over 1750 students three times a year. • My department consistently maintained 100% compliance in special education annual IEP Completion, no lawsuits against the school, and during an unannounced spot audit conducted by the school district of Philadelphia we scored 99% compliance with all special education paperwork.   • Coordinated 25 teachers ranging from Learning Support, Emotional Support, Disciplinary Setting, and the “Over Aged, Under Credited” accelerated program. My responsibilities included coordinating all aspects of the special education department including compliance, curriculum and programing, related services, professional development, teacher coaching, hiring and staffing, and staff evaluations.• The Special education department rated as “Model” in the academic areas of Math and Science for the 2014-15 Academic school year on the school performance profile.• For the 2013-2014 academic school year, our low incidence department scored the 3rd highest growth rates in Pennsylvania on PASA Assessments.
