Roy Hil Iron Ore Project Responsible for the design and implementation of the project wide Security System for the Roy Hill Iron Ore project, a green field project with a capital expenditure of A$8.5 billion. I was responsible for the operational and regulatory design and implementation of the Security System, which integrated CCTV, access control, intercom and physical security within the business processes of Roy Hill. The design involved liaison with both the project design group and operational personnel. I developed guidelines for the concept design requirements, developed a structured process to map and articulate a site wide operational, legislative, safety and financial criticality register, integrated the security risk management process into the design outcomes, produced a performance based scope of works and technical specifications. I was instrumental in taking the Security System to market as a design and construction project whilst infrastructure was still developing. Direct security system capital expenditure is in excess of A$14 million. Roy Hill, in Western Australia, incorporates an automated 50 million tonnes per annum mine, 340km of heavy driverless rail, port facilities and a Perth based Remote Operations Centre.
