I have worked for over 24 years for Toyota Motor manufacturing, 15 years of which I have been a Team Leader. In the last 8 years I have been assigned to special projects with focus on process rebalancing to support a flexible line setup that supports a lean manufacturing environment. I move elements between processes and fabricate needed tools when changes in output of the plant are determined. I have 5 U.S. Patents to my name. I have also been chosen to become one of only two people in the assembly section (out of 4000 team members) to be a certified Standardized Work Kaizen trainer. In this role I train Team Leaders and above how to identify waste in the manufacturing environment and countermeasure it appropriately. I have also been a leader in several problem solving initiatives. In 2016 and 2018, I was chosen from a plantwide pool to present my problem solving activities at the North American Quality Circle conferences in Charlotte NC, and in 2019 I was chosen to represent Toyota and present my problem solving activity at the Global Quality Circle Conference in Toyota City, Japan. These activities were all centered around waste management and KPI impact in manufacturing. In 2023, I led the Smooth Motion Kaizen team to open up new and improved assembly lines for the Final Section. This involved processing and fabrication at the same level as opening a new plant. Through this activity, I will have 5 more U.S Patents pending and an even deeper knowledge and experience with opening a new plant. Show less
