      Dave Breininger has 30 years experience integrating research, natural resource management, ecological restoration, conservation land acquisition, environmental education, and environmental regulation. He is employed as a lead wildlife ecologist in NASA’s Ecological Program at Kennedy Space Center and has several university faculty positions. He has served on several endangered species recovery teams and other conservation organizations, such as the Florida Institute of Conservation Science and the Brevard County Environmentally Endangered Lands Selection and Management Committee. Research has focused on endangered species demography and ecosystem dynamics, combining field data collection with mark-recapture analyses, remote sensing, geographical information systems, population viability analyses, landscape modeling, and adaptive resource management. Breininger has a Ph.D. in Conservation biology, a M.S. in Ecology, and B.S. in Marine Biology. Breininger has published more than 70 scientific articles.
