  In late 2005 my wife suffered a brain aneurysm which left her disabled. I closed my business (Movteq) shortly afterwards and became full-time carer for her. Throughout this time, I actively pursued self learning. In this time I learnt programming in HTML, PHP and Javascript to a level suitable to create websites. In 1999 I took the role of Team Project Manager whereby I oversaw the more technical solutions for the whole office. This involved the design, programming, production and commissioning of these systems.   Beginning in Canning Vale (Perth), I was employed to service geological equipment on oil-well-sites in Australia and New Zealand. This involved travel to rigs onshore and offshore for setting up monitoring equipment as well as onsite repairs. In 1991 I was tranferred to the head office in Houston, USA to take part in a special project looking at drill-string dynamics. This involved operational and engineering work on well-sites in Texas, Oklahoma and the Gulf of Mexico. In 1993 with the work extending into Europe, I transferred to the Windsor office and worked mainly in Scotland overseeing the engineering side of the project in Europe. I returned to Australia in 1995 and worked for a brief time as Head Service Engineer for the mudlogging department in the Canning Vale offices. Show less
