      Main Purpose of the Job: To work alongside the Learning Skills Council inspecting the safety of students and employers in manufacturing environments. I also had to carry out accident investigations on behalf of the LSC.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Assisting a number of large manufacturing organisations nationally in the Glazing Industry, and also Pubs, Clubs, Hotels, Residential Homes, Sport Halls, etc., to meet their duties and responsibilities under current legislation.The types of services I provided include Health and Safety Audits, Policy Writing and Implementations, Fire Risk Assessment, General Risk Assessment’s, COSHH Risk Assessment’s, Accident Investigation’s, Safety Guidance plus Management Advice and Training. In the seven years that I was operating, I have gained valuable experience with regard to identifying the weaknesses in an organisations current practices and procedures. Investigation work has strengthened the Knowledge I already have with reference to legal requirements and duties, as well as gaining Indispensable experience of communicating at all levels, As an example of the service provided, a fire risk assessment would take the following format: - Detailed survey of premises, including detailed photographic evidence, Plan drawings with location of fire detection/fighting equipment, exits and colour coded risk areas. Assessment of Flammable substances/materials stored on/near site chemical register and identification of sources of ignition/fuel. Critical look at emergency evacuation procedure. As well as fire precautions/detection etc. Staff Training, Information & Maintenance of equipment and fire safety provision. Prioritised action plan remedial measures
