I have known David for more than twenty-five years and had worked together on several projects prior to my joining Leo A Daly as Managing Principal of the DC Office (2009-2012). I always admired David’s work ethic and principles, and knew he was well respected by his staff at his firm in Philadelphia. When an opportunity arose to find a VP/Director of Operations for Daly’s DC office, David was my first choice. David became my right-hand person and was responsible for day to day internal management while reporting directly to me. This included responsibility for project performance, monthly reviews, Leadership of Project Managers, interaction with his peers in other Daly office’s, Corporate interaction, and Staff reviews. He was very adept at putting together complex proposals and I could rely on him to stand in for me if there was a scheduling conflict for a client or business development meeting that I was unable to attend. Additionally, David improved staff utilization (raised DLR); reduced A/R days outstanding (which improved cash flow); worked closely with the DC Profit Centers Finance Manager; built a trusting relationship with all members of our staff across all departments; worked in collaboration with the Managing Principal, Sector Leaders and Corporate Leadership to help develop strategic plans and annual budgets; collaborated on recruitment and retention of staff and addressed performance issues in a timely manner, and always responded appropriately and thoughtfully to these issues. David is a tireless worker and was always available, an important attribute given the quantity of International projects the office was involved with. Lastly, David was a great colleague and remains a close and trusted friend. He is a quick learner, dedicated mentor, very easy to work with, and has an even keeled personality. He was respected by staff and those we reported too. Alan J Feltoon AIA AICP Managing Principal (2009 – 2012) LEO A DALY, Washington, DC

I have worked at Leo A Daly for 21 years, and had the pleasure of working with David Zelig for 9 of those years in his role as Director of Operations of the Washington DC Office from 2009 to 2018. David is very process and goal driven and people oriented. He excelled at organizing our Teams into a cohesive office by optimizing efficiencies, enhancing training opportunities, and developing personal relationships with everyone at all levels in the office. He provided much needed support, goals, guidance, stability and strategies across the board in areas of marketing, finance, team management, team building and production. I highly recommend David for any firm seeking a highly motivated Senior Executive. He is a dedicated problem solver and team builder, and one of the best operations directors I have worked with in my career. Sincerely, Cindy K.
