Building on my role as Depot Manager in Orkney I have now taken on responsibility for Shetland too. With skilled teams looking after the daily operation in both Orkney and Shetland I ensure that both depots continue to meet the needs of the business and our customer base.

Depot Manager

Responsible for all aspects of the Orkney operation including office management, customer relations, staffing and daily operations. Store Manager

Responsible for the smooth and profitable running of the Kirkwall store including ordering all stock, planning and implementing staff rotas and ensuring sales targets were met. Commissioned Officer (Warfare)

Specialised in Warfare and Operations and was primarily a Bridge Watchkeeping Officer, having charge of a warship for up to 12 hours a day whilst at sea. Whilst not watchkeeping my duties included accounting for all confidential and secret publications, arranging overseas visits, managing a division of 12 naval Ratings and acting as boarding Officer. Ashore, my duties were even more varied and ranged from working on the Change Program to relocate Fleet HQ from London to Portsmouth to working alongside the BBC for the events marking the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, including a speaking role during the televised broadcast. My final role was as the Fleet Signature Reduction Officer, researching and advising on stealth issues within the Fleet.
