Beginning with the simple problem of "how do we equip fans of online content to support and pay their favorite creators?" took my partner and me down the rabbit hole of dis-intermediated online platforms and the underlying blockchain infrastructure that can enable them. The early stage thinking, development, and fundraising of the project was a direct response to the "adpocalypse" on YouTube and other associated payment censorship crises of the summer of 2017. This project was my invitation down a rabbit hole and the classic "failed" start-up that was anything but a failure.

In the process, I learned valuable lessons about self-employment and networking. My experience of the industry also ties into my desire to build improved systems which can improve efficiencies.
