I first met Dave Beglau when I assumed responsibility for the department where he worked as a key contributor on development of unique semiconductors. We worked together for over ten years during which time he progressed to increasingly higher levels of expertise and responsibility. He worked primarily in the development of new types of semiconductor materials and devices, including rewritable optical disks and reprogrammable non-volatile computer memories and processing devices. He has also worked with other semiconductor materials and devices. Dave is a diligent worker in both individual and group settings, and put in the effort and hours with flexibility of schedule to complete complex work meeting milestones and stage gates. Dave is very effective in coordinating with others to reach his goals with a pride in accomplishment that he takes very seriously. He competently determines his own schedule from conception to final report in an organized manner. In addition to the time he spends in the laboratory he also continuously keeps abreast of developments in his industry, and effectively incorporated what he learned to improve the technology of the company. He proved his capability to quickly learn to operate new types of processing and test equipment in the development of new materials and devices. Dave is fully capable of researching and specifying needed processing and test equipment, and was invaluable in setting up an extensive semiconductor development laboratory. Dave is a highly valuable asset who strives to maintain his best performance and it has been a distinct pleasure working with him. I would hire Dave without hesitation.

Dave had worked for me at ECD for many years. I found him very knowledgeable and capable and quick to learn. He was always eager to get the job done right. His physics and engineering backgrounds helped him pick up on new ideas and turn them into practice. I would highly recommend Dave to anyone looking for a research scientist. His knowledge base is in photovoltaics, microelectronics, photolithography, and thin film deposition and analysis. He is a great hands-on experimentalist.
