I’ve worked with municipal agents, private landowners, regional outdoors organizations, and the public to help with the City’s ongoing efforts to protect valuable natural resources for recreation and conservation. I’ve organized trail-work days, worked with grants administrators for project fundings, facilitated mapping projects, and have built relationships with the community via social media, public meetings and events, and on the trails.

I've been a writer and a rider for decades. From touring the US on a professional BMX stunt team to mountain biking in the British Virgin Islands, Spain, Costa Rica and Australia, bikes have brought me to many places and provided many excellent experiences. I worked full time in the bike industry for many years, and while my career path has gone in a different direction (full time emergency medicine physician assistant and educator), I haven't been able to leave the bike industry completely. I still ride competitively (mountain bikes, cyclocross and BMX flatland), and write and shoot as often as I can, typically on my Web site at http://www.davealden.com/.
