I have had the honor of knowing David by working with him and then working for him over eight years at Altera Corp. Dave was a coach to all of us. He guided us to do great things and allowed us to learn by our mistakes if and when they happened. Many of us will follow this man to the ends of the earth. Once memorable accomplishment I saw was his team maintaining a high morale under his leadership in relation to the whole IT department and I believe most of the company. He knew how to read management's and more importantly our customers’ needs and address them appropriately and effectively. Dave Swan is a great Sr. Director and will make a great CIO some day.

To many of us here at Altera, Dave is a true champion and a superstar not only within IT but also across the enterprise. Dave's vision and leadership along with his deep understanding about IT and business has lead to a success of many key initiatives at Altera. I strongly recommend Dave. Wouldn't mind working for him again.
