Kyle Oberndorf
I had the pleasure of mentoring/coaching Dave for quite some time. His openness, ability and desire to learn and his enthusiasm was outstanding. Dave consistently gave his all in everything he did and helped me grow my business in many ways. His input and feedback not only helped me but our clients. I highly recommend Dave if you are looking for a passionate, skilled, eager to learn individual. I would have him back with me if the opportunity ever arises again.

Lead Sales Associate / Assistant Manager / Procurement Coordinator / Truck Driver

Mar 2013 - Feb 2015
Started at the Burnaby ReStore as Lead Sales Associate and was promoted after 5 months to Assistant Manager at the Vancouver ReStore. The primary responsibilities of this role are volunteer organization and engagement, receiving donations, dealing with customer complaints, and training new staff. I was then promoted again after 2 months to work in the Habitat for Humanity society office as Procurement Coordinator. In this position, I was responsible for dispatching the 2 trucks and engaging corporate and private donors. Some key successes included implementing a weekly truck schedule that reduced costs, implementing a weekly email so the 3 Restore managers could proactively plan their weeks, and coordinating a $300,000 corporate donation. I am working in a sort of apprenticeship program with Coach Kyle Oberndorf. To learn the ropes of what it means to be a coach I am responsible for new business leads and developing relationships with chamber of commerce, organizations, and individuals. The long-term goal is to become a coach myself so that I can use my passions and gifts to help both individuals and organizations free themselves from their own self-set limitations.
