Founded by Dave Mahrt, Kingsway Industries Inc., the manufacturer of TRI-MAX, has sold over 12,000 fire suppression systems to the military, public agencies, industrial contractors and private companies worldwide. As a gun ship helicopter pilot and Chief Warrant Officer in Vietnam, and a heavy helicopter operator fighting forest fires for over 20 years, Dave witnessed firsthand the inadequacy of today's equipment and its inability to combat fires efficiently. Committed to making the trade a safer place, he created what is known today as the "TRI-MAX family" of fire suppression systems. Dave also spent 20 seasons flying heavy helicopters as a wildland firefighter pilot working for the U.S. Forest Service, Cal Fire BLM, the State Division of Forestry in Oregon and the Department of Natural Resources in Washington State.
