  This position presented many challenges and opportunities. With over 40 hectares of greenhouses, 1400 employees and exporting more than 72 million flowers per year to Europe and Western Asia, I brought stability and consistency to the finance department by working together well with our multicultural team. In line with my responsibilities in Kenya, I also coordinated with the sister company in Holland to ensure that all sales were well monitored and I assisted in implementing new software to increase our control of the full supply chain. I was at the head of all financial and management reporting to the board of directors and attended all board meetings. This has given me a direct insight into the strategic thinking behind international business. I ended my incredible journey with Mount Elgon Orchards by pivoting into a more business development and sales-minded role for Elgon Avocados, bringing the brand into Europe and Asia.
