  I managed a team of 11 operators working a traditional three shift system producing tundish liners, refractory insulating tiles and powders.Extensively aided the Quality function in achieving BS 5750 status for the first department on site in 1986. This involved writing procedures, training operators, standardising methods of production, issuing standard mix instructions and packing instructions, checking incoming raw materials and developing acceptance criteria as well as changing the culture and focus of production staff to a more customer focussed attitude.
