I had the good fortune of working closely with Dave at Together Labs and I was continually impressed by his artistic expertise, technical knowledge, dedication, and a passion to achieve great results. He was also an articulate spokesman and champion for the art teams. Diligent, knowledgeable, and a wealth of industry experience; I always knew I could rely on Dave to be on time, on budget & without any issues. His ability to see things others cannot is second to none but I've also been impressed with his ability to foster a sense of 'team' which is critical to any products success. He provided leadership and direction for a broadly skilled team of character & animation artists distributed over multiple locations, building respect and admiration among everyone who worked with him. He demonstrated great skill in helping establish a cohesive art style, ensuring it was applied consistently, setting up the UGC pipelines, providing visual feedback, and coaching/mentoring team members. This mixed with great organizational, leadership and mentoring skills work together to make him a fantastic leader. He works well under pressure, sticks to his goal and does his best to keep everyone informed along the journey. From a production point of view, Dave has helped me immensely from just listening to ideas and proposing additions to visualizing concepts and getting the character, environment, and animations teams aligned. I have found him to not only be an excellent sounding post for ideas and concepts, but also a source of inspiration with his solid work ethics and creative thinking. All this while continuing to pump our quality and creative art. We could always count on David to come thru on whatever he had taken on.
