  Monitor and troubleshoot the network for Avis Budget Car rental group, Realogy Inc., Remainco, Inc., Wyndham World Wide. Responsible for a global network of over 10,000 routers and switches and over 100 firewalls used in both subscriber, vendor, and corporate networks. Duties include troubleshooting on CISCO, Bay, Nortel and F5 network devices, Nokia and Pix Firewalls, used for web, subscriber, and vendor connectivity. Troubleshooting requires set up and running of sniffers on the IP network. Additional Duties include maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and loading of the IBM Proprietary SNA Network and 3270 access and LU 6.2 connectivity to Avis Budget mainframes. Avis Budget network utilizes Windows 2000 servers running Microsoft’s SNA Manager Software for Multi-Link Gateways (MLG) into their mainframe. Responsibilities include troubleshooting connections into the MLG, cycling processes, and cycling logical control units in the mainframe to restore connectivity from the MLG to the host MVS processor. Also responsible for the 3745 Front End Processors (FEP) on the Avis Budget network and troubleshooting and maintenance. Responsibilities include bringing up the network and reloading the FEPs after mainframe outages and maintenance. Numerous other responsibilities on the Avis Budget network include troubleshooting and maintenance of AIX, Linux, Windows 2000 and XP servers running various applications utilized by corporate users and subscribers.

Duties include troubleshooting on CISCO, Bay, Nortel and F5 network devices, Nokia and Pix Firewalls, used for web, subscriber, and vendor connectivity. 3754 Terminal Access to mainframes, LU's and VTAMS. Troubleshooting requires set up and running of sniffers on the IP network and link application maintenance on a Local Computer Network (LCN) of AIX Unix Link Nodes and Authentication Servers, connected to the core complexes of Apollo and Galileo running Transaction Processing Format (TPF) OS. As well as 3745 Terminal access for Avis Budget locations and equipment. Skills obtained were incredibly complex, proprietary, and varied across numerous platforms. This demonstrates my ability to adapt to, run, repair, and fix any system being used in any environment.
