Responsible for a global network of over 10,000 routers and switches and over 100 firewalls used in both subscriber, vendor, and corporate networks. Duties include troubleshooting on CISCO, Bay, Nortel and F5 network devices, Nokia and Pix Firewalls, used for web, subscriber, and vendor connectivity. Troubleshooting requires set up and running of sniffers on the IP network. Additional Duties include maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and loading of the IBM Proprietary SNA Network and 3270 access and LU 6.2 connectivity to Avis Budget mainframes. Avis Budget network utilizes Windows 2000 servers running Microsoft’s SNA Manager Software for Multi-Link Gateways (MLG) into their mainframe. Responsibilities include troubleshooting connections into the MLG, cycling processes, and cycling logical control units in the mainframe to restore connectivity from the MLG to the host MVS processor. Also responsible for the 3745 Front End Processors (FEP) on the Avis Budget network and troubleshooting and maintenance. Responsibilities include bringing up the network and reloading the FEPs after mainframe outages and maintenance.
