UNCDF is a client of Daryl’s on the Impact Pathways measurement project, for which I am project manager. Throughout the course of the project, Daryl’s thought leadership propelled UNCDF’s work on impact measurement to new heights, not only by publishing a range of high quality, cutting-edge knowledge products, but pushing the boundaries in how UNCDF – or anyone – can approach understanding the development outcomes of financial services. She is leading the way right now – globally - on an honest, transparent conversation on the complexities and nuances of how customers derive benefits (or not) of using financial services and inventing new frameworks and approaches in the process. UNCDF (and myself personally) have benefitted greatly from her intellectual leadership – a beacon in the development finance space. I am grateful also for her accessibility, openness, down-to-earth nature which make working with her a true pleasure.

Daryl is an engaging leader. Working with her was fun and exciting. She knows where she wants to take the organization and does what it takes to take it there. She is as good with concepts (following her academic experience) as with people which is a killer combination when approaching complex situations and systems.
