It is so rare to meet someone who not only invests both personally and professionally in their own development but pairs that ongoing upskilling with the proactive evolution of their own role to meet rapidly shifting market needs. Darryl was a trusted and valued colleague who I worked with closely on a range of projects - most notably the creation and implementation of crisis and risk management processes (Darryl on process and safety, myself on comms management) which later were subsequently held up by local emergency services as an exemplar model. His dedication to the highest quality outputs, unyielding and impressive productivity and dedication and passion for the wellbeing of others; and most of all his great character, have seen us continue to maintain a valued ongoing connection - involving regular robust discussions around culture, safety, communications and best practise human resource management and employee empowerment. One would be hard-pressed to find a more well-rounded, skilled, qualified, positive and passionate practitioner in his growing fields of expertise in the safety, people, culture and wellbeing sector.
