I actually started out at a small company called Brittan Machine. Was hired to do inspection of parts. I programmed coordinate measuring machines (Cordax). I did that for 3 years until I had the chance to move into numerical programming. I stayed there for 7 years programming all different kinds of metals, including aluminum, titanium, stainless steal, and invar . After that, I moved onto Raytheon as a contract programmer. Did that for 2 years until they made the good programmers roll over to be direct. That's really where I received my title as senior manufacturing engineer. After 5 years at Raytheon, they were trying to downsize our department, And my father needed help at Stellex in Wellington (now GKN). So I helped him for 4 years programming titanium bulkheads and whatever else he needed. I have been at Perfekta for 8 years now. Time for a change. Show less
