Endocoal Ltd (ASX: EOC) was a junior coal exploration Company and was acquired by U&D in 2013 in a $70 million transaction. EOC has tenements in the Bowen Basin of Queensland. EOC listed on the ASX in April 2010 and I was the first appointed employee for the new company reporting to the Sydney based Managing Director. My role was an executive level position responsible for leading the Company's exploration programs, land and tenure, native title, cultural heritage and establishing and leading the Brisbane office administration functions. As the Company developed the head office function and Managing Director relocated to Brisbane. Endocoal highlights included; • Technical content lead during the $70 million U&D transaction and the initial Endocoal IPO as well as subsequent capital raisings • Discovery of the Meteor Downs South Project, a low cost open cut thermal coal open cut resulting in the lodgement of a mining lease within 12 months of listing. • Discovery of over 490 Mt of JORC resources in areas of the Bowen Basin currently considered 'barren' by the industry. • Discovery of previously unknown coal measures in the south east of the Bowen Basin. • Leading and developing a new 'reinterpretation' of the eastern edge of the Bowen Basin. • Attracting and retaining a high performing team of professionals and administration staff and resulting in a high level of in-house capability and knowledge • Development and formalisation of a robust set of business processes and corporate policy • Technical lead for new project acquisitions, partnerships or tender submissions for suitable potential assets
