The Edmonton Elks are proud members of the Canadian Football League, playing their home games at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta. The club has a tradition of excellence with 14 Grey Cup championships (1954-56, 1975, 1978-82, 1987, 1993, 2003, 2005, 2015) and 52 members of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. Since its founding, the club has been community-owned and remains focused on providing outstanding football memories for Edmonton and all of Northern Alberta. Reporting to the VP of Finance & Business Administration, I was hired as the first IT Manager for the organization, where I created & implemented a strategy to modernize the complete IT infrastructure and to restore faith in the organization’s IT services. Supporting the day-to-day operation of the organization and connected stadium systems requires coordinating with key 3rd Party partners including the City of Edmonton, TELUS, stadium concession partners and building those relationships. - Plan & executed a replacement schedule for all laptops, workstations, network equipment & infrastructure & server hardware - Improved the reliability of game day & event critical systems including stadium concessions, 50-50 draw systems and stadium infrastructure systems - Moved the organization’s email to Office 365 - Implemented a local & offsite backup system with a Disaster Recovery plan - Implementation of server cluster infrastructure and virtualization of servers - Created new Windows 2016 Domain with Azure connected domain services and enabling Single Sign-On services for the organization - Upgraded of the stadium’s Point of Sale system and the network infrastructure to support it - Coordinated the installation of over 140 new Digital Menu Boards and required networking throughout the stadium Show less
