At J-tek my daily tasks included but were not limited to: Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining a variety of network infrastructures. We frequently monitored network performance to identify and resolve network issues, also providing technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting network connectivity, hardware/software issues, and security-related incidents whilst assisting with the development and maintenance of network documentation, including network diagrams, topology maps and hardware/software inventories. Acting as client contact and managing a degree of the projects we undertake, I am frequently seen as front of house and hold a level of professional attitude worthy of that. Often designing an installation based on many years of experience, we provide clients with hidden cabling solutions to a number of different device systems, included but not limited to: Wi-Fi, CCTV, Audio/Visual, Smart lighting, P2P systems. With my lifetime interest and hobby in technology, I have been able to provide clients with as much information as they require ultimately leading to them being able to make an informed decision on further products or features needed. Whilst gaining knowledge in the construction industry, it was best for me to be self-employed. I acquired jobs that allowed me to grow and develop as a network cabling engineer, ensuring I could bring the best quality input that I could provide. I grew my understanding of the environment I was in, as well as my tools and competence using them. Whilst gaining knowledge in the construction industry, it was best for me to be self-employed.
