I have worked with ROVs, ROTVs and AUV’s and utilised a variety of data types, including side-scan sonar, sub-bottom profiler, magnetometer and video. My primary offshore role was to oversee the interpretation and QC of all field data, to co-ordinate survey schedules to maximise efficiency, and to mentor and train junior team members. I am also the primary technical point of contact in liaising with clients to ensure the highest survey standards are being maintained and all contractual obligations are being fulfilled. Office based duties commonly involved the preparation and planning of survey campaigns, and the follow up reporting and processing post-acquisition. Show less

Whilst offshore, a typical day will involve a 12 hour shift of data acquisition, interpretation, quality control, and will include liasing with members of other departments and client representatives to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
