Utilising advanced research methodologies, I am able to systematically gather and analyse data to provide comprehensive and reliable insights.-I utilise a diverse array of pilot-scale systems to perform a wide range of chemical reactions, including polymer synthesis, various wet chemistry processes, distillation, and biomass pre-treatment. My proficiency in utilising these systems allows me to effectively design and execute experiments, and to obtain valuable insights and data that inform the development of new products and processes-I possess a strong expertise in the recovery, isolation, and purification of high-value chemicals from product and co-product streams. My experience using techniques such as solid-liquid/liquid-liquid extraction, centrifugal separators, nutsche filters, and flash chromatography, allows me to effectively and efficiently purify target compounds and improve the yield of valuable chemicals. I am passionate about unlocking the potential of plant ice binding proteins (IBPs) to overcome real world challenges. My PhD is exploring the variation of ice binding protein in commercial cultivars of carrot recognised as being cold tolerant. As part of this research, I will also evaluate sustainable and cost-effective methods for their recovery.
