Darren is a smart, very determined, extremely hardworking, conscientious and highly skilled software engineer. I worked with Darren for a bit more than two years. We originally hired Darren to supplement the development team of a recently acquired company. Darren did an excellent job of learning the system, working with other engineers we added to the acquired team and contributing to a rather daunting set of deliverables. More recently we asked Darren to help the larger organization by working in an important project to add significant enhancements to an existing product working with a team where the majority of the other developers are overseas. Even though the technology stack used by this new to him project team was new to Darren, he did a remarkable job of coming to speed both on the technology and the system design. As a result Darren was able to make significant contributes to this product development effort. In particular Darren went significantly out of his way to work with the field support team to diagnose and correct issues that arose from the new functionality as it was rolled out to the field. I highly recommend Darren to any organization requiring a highly motivated, highly skilled and technically capable developer. Darren is great to work with while still challenging the team to build the best solutions possible.
