The purpose of the ELPS network is to coordinate the use of English in Swedish higher education. In parallel with the internationalisation of Swedish higher education, ELPS’ aim is to ensure that Swedish higher education and research are presented using standardised, high quality English. In addition, its pool of resources means that the network is able to streamline and rationalise translation and other language work in higher education. The network works closely with the Swedish Centre for Terminology (TNC) and the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR) and can thereby guarantee that its activities have a broad national impact.
