  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Team lead in Design and Development of enclosure for electronic application for use in field, aviation, or space. • Conduct Structural, Thermal, Thermomechanical analysis and simulation • Support innovation through in-house R&D and collaboration with research partners • Manage and mentor direct reports and junior engineers COMPETENCIES • Design and Development of electronic enclosure, structural mountings, and supporting jigs and fixtures for soldering, assembly of product, product testing, etc • Product Development - Concept, Detailed design, Prototyping, Testing and Manufacturing • 3D CAD Modelling and 2D Drafting – Solid Edge • FEA Simulation and design validation for Structural & Thermal – Femap Nastran • Present, review, report progress, identify risks, coordinate, and align deliverables with cross-functional teams • Stack up tolerance analysis, functional dimensioning, and GD&T • Selection of materials, fabrication methods and surface treatment • Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) • Create Test Plan for Shock, Vibration, Temperature, Corrosion • Hands-on assembly, verification, and fit check of designed product • Mitigate risks, troubleshoot, and resolve failures • Exposure to PCBA, connectors, fasteners, EMI/EMC, wires/cables routing • Comply to industry standards - IPC, MIL STD, ESA, VITA • Create and maintain high quality technical documentation • Manage suppliers to meet schedule • Use Generative Design for light weighting • Programming Skills - MATLAB, PYTHON • Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma Show less
