While at Paizo, I worked with Darlene to bring some of her classic calligraphic work back to life in a new project. She's beyond professional—not only is she extremely talented, but she's also an amazing collaborator. I'd happily work with Darlene again, even if it was just to get her to write my name a few times!

Darlene is an incredible graphic artist and book designer. Her knowledge of literary design and artistic skill knows no equal. She is professional and personal and can guide her clients to their greatest possible success. I highly recommend Darlene for graphic artist and book design work. She does not come cheap but then the best never does.

I have always been a freelance artist in the FINE ARTS as well as the GRAPHIC ARTS. I'm accomplished in a myriad of disciplines and can do artwork both by hand and on computer. I also know every aspect of the publishing industry and can do everything and anything I set my mind to. I have always been a freelance artist in the FINE ARTS as well as the GRAPHIC ARTS. I performed, in-house, the duties of a graphics design / ad agency. From marketing strategy to copywriting, I designed and produced all corporate marketing materials such as advertising, business cards, booklets and other sales aids, signage, design of sales forms, orders, letterhead. I was also asked to create customized territorial maps, organizational charts and materials for special corporate functions. I performed, in-house, the duties of a graphics design / ad agency. Designed type face for new Greyhawk map and did lettering work for "The Age of Worms" The theme of my graduate work centered around documenting the problems involved in the design of typefaces and how different type designers approached these problems. Thesis: "The Facets of Type Design." I have, over the years, designed many different fonts for my own projects. I was the first woman to do fantasy illustration for the budding RPG (Role Playing Games) industry in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. I freelanced mainly for Gary Gygax's company, TSR Hobbies, Inc (which is no longer in existence). As well as illustration, I also designed their logo, created fantasy game maps, laid out their books and contributed headings and other graphics to their magazine, "The Dragon."
