I had the pleasure of working with Darlene in our Business Operations Division. She was very professional, knowledgeable, and extremely customer friendly and a true team player. She fit in to team operations very well and was able to solve IT issues within the entire organization very well. She was a valuable asset to the TRICARE Regional Office South team.

Darlene is an extremely dedicated contributor and a valued leader among our team. She manages one of our higher volume sites and with little supervision needed. She is reliable and hardworking and it was the utmost pleasure to have her as part of my team. I highly recommend Darlene for any management position as she knows how to lead and and more importantly to keep her people engaged.

I coordinate the day-to-day operations and provide recommendation to staff on operations, policies, and procedures. I engage regularly with project managers on milestones, roles and responsibilities, time management, and stakeholder engagement. Using a holistic approach, I assist the Operations Manager to design, develop, evaluate and modify end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle.I focus on employee development/growth and team building, engaging with the leads of each engineering group regularly and ensuring all Ops teams are supported, encouraged and motivated to perform their roles at a continually high level. I serve as a customer liaison as well as support for business development activities, regularly engaging with our clients to understand and shape requirements. I assist the Ops Manager to translate high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications, and work with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower level detailed and implementation requirements. I participate in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. Though the role of “Site Lead” no longer exists, I still work with our senior ITD representative in San Antonio to perform the duties as listed under “Deputy Site Lead” as needed, as well as serving our DHA clients as a Trustede Agent.
