      Building and maintaining core simulation features:• MPI parallelization of the OpenFOAM view factor radiation solver (Gaussian elimination direct numerical method): achieved approx. 10x performance improvement for a standard industry-scale thermal comfort case.• Made face agglomeration procedure (required for view factor radiation model) more autonomous and robust by introducing geometric quality checks.• Implemented coupled CFD/lumped-parameter representation of heat sources applicable to, e.g. electronics thermal modeling. The work included taking charge in an ambitious cross-team effort of automating calculation of geometric parameters needed for simulations, directly from CAD. This dramatically improved the user experience and increased robustness.• Increased the success rate of compressible simulation types by 27% by introducing an improved numerical root finding algorithm in the solver procedure.• Maintaining and extending cloud-deployed OpenFOAM code: bug fixes, feature development, data-driven robustness improvements of solvers...• Overseen cross-team collaboration on the key-customer simulation benchmarking project.• Experience in mentoring junior staff and hiring: held more then a dozen technical interviews, test-case reviews and on-site days to help hire 3 interns + 5 working students.
