Model United Nations at AUPP, Event Organizer
-
Nov 2019 - Feb 2020
Model United Nations at AUPP is an activity where students get the opportunity to simulate being delegates from different UN member states and engage in high-level diplomatic negotiation, seeking to resolve important issues that affect the world today. It was my great honor to be part of an organizing team and participated in the UNSC simulation as a Chairwoman. The event brought me with such a great experience in teamwork that bonded us together. Furthermore, the part that I like the most was when each delegate well performed in their positions and debated about the problems and solutions so that made the simulation more enjoyable and realistic. The UNSC simulation taught me both soft and hard skills. For instance, I got to learn about the procedure, and also managed to learn about time management. As a Chairwoman, I had to facilitate and manage time to create an equal participation within the house. On the top of that, the event widened my understanding in diplomatic concepts and about the real world situation in a global context. Show less
