I provide parts quotes to customers, schedule and coordinate service visits to customers, invoice for service and parts, answer phones, diffuse difficult customer situations, bill collection for non-paying customers, restocking of office supplies, coordinate freight/logistics, and general filing. I built the company website in 4 days, and was able to introduce new service scheduling software to help streamline the process while looking more professional from the customer's point of view. Complete restaurant evaluations to maintain brand standards, find opportunities in operations to increase sales and profitability, keep deadlines for projects, utilize Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Outlook, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint. Protect the customer base by performing complete inspections of restaurants, taking food temperatures, and passing along health department information and bulletins. Was given the Operational Technology Leader position in 2012 in which I was responsible for launching and troubleshooting new point of sale technology in over 270 restaurants. Show less

    • Cafe Manager
      • Apr 2009 - Apr 2013

Responsible for day to day operations in the cafe, including scheduling and overseeing a team of 14 baristas, keeping team morale high to ensure a positive customer experience and to keep turnover low, customer service, hiring and ongoing training of cafe servers, while some behind the scenes duties included product ordering, manager meetings, inventory, reaching sales goals, conducting yearly reviews, and administrative paperwork including P&L reports. In just over a year's time, my staff and I were able to bring our cafe ranking from # 84 out of 115+ cafes in our territory to # 4 through improving the customer experience, consistent suggestive selling, and keeping team morale high, and therefore turnover low. Tried to motive the team consistently while holding each server accountable for their own sales, and often had to conduct difficult conversations in order to improve individual performance. During my time with Barnes & Noble, I was also head cashier for approximately 6 months before being promoted to cafe manager in 2010. I was responsible for reconciling all money in the store at the end of the day, keeping tracking of employee shortages, training new cashiers, and conducting regular coaching conversations to ensure consistent training. I was also responsible for diffusing difficult customer situations by finding an acceptable solution for the customer to ensure continued patronage, while avoiding undermining the cashier's original statement to the customer in order to keep morale on the team high.
