During my time at Agenda Communications my role included managing delegate relationships and ensuring a smooth registration process for all attendees. I would assist organisations looking to register a group, by creating a group profile and individual delegate registrations on their behalf. A significant portion of my role was to proactively and reactively problem-solve for delegates who were having issues accessing their accounts, ensuring their VAT status was correct and managing the refunding of delegates who were unable to attend or had improperly registered. In the cases where a delegate was unable to make payment using credit card I would organise a proforma invoice for them so that they could arrange a bank transfer. I conducted reports daily that allowed me to monitor the number of delegates registered, categorising them by country and occupation. Other reports included invoice balances where I could identify delegates with outstanding balances and a verification report where I could verify any uploaded documents confirming trainee/nurse or AHP status.

In this role I had the opportunity to engage with customers and use my knowledge to suggest good fit product options for the customer’s needs. The operational aspect of this role saw me manageing the flow of merchandise, to ensure the front of the store was always in best-kept condition and the stock room was organised. While the responsibilities of a crew member are predominantly as a cashier, ensuring dining area hygiene I also contributed by managing large group events such as birthday parties. The difficulty in working these large group events was coordinating and accommodating the specific dietary requirements of parties of more than 40 people.
