I have known Dara for over two years during which time she worked as a District Executive and Senior District Executive in my office. I have been consistently impressed with Dara's attitude and productivity during the time that she has worked in the office. Dara is both very bright and quite motivated. I am confident that she will devote herself to any position with a high degree of diligence. She is a quick learner and has shown the ability to digest large volumes of information. Ms. Markus has demonstrated the ability to articulate information and ideas in both the verbal and written forms. Ms. Markus is willing to take risks. She will reach out to people and involve them with projects. I particularly appreciate Dara's willingness to take initiative to help the office serve its constituents more fully. I recommend Ms. Markus without reservation.

Deliver the Scouting program to over 3,500 youth and 1,200 adult volunteers in a geographical area of Columbus and St. Louis. This is achieved by managing a variety of projects, alongside a volunteer core, including fundraising campaigns, membership drives, program expansion, event coordination, and recruitment and training of adult volunteers. Employed by Ohio Wesleyan University Science Department and as such I assisted plant physiologist, Dr. Scott Chris Wolverton, in researching the effect of gravity on plant roots, gravitropism. Research involved exposing Arabidopsis plant roots to various conditions and recording the plant physiological response. Observed responses, in the form of data , were then used to support the thesis pertaining to gravitropism. Scientific findings were presented at the Summer Science Research Program Symposium. Findings helped Dr. Wolverton formulate a grant to NASA for funding to send his experiments to the International Space Station. Dr. Wolverton was awarded a NASA grant and these experiments were sent into space on December 15, 2017.
